Worship Sundays @ 10:30am

Worship

Worship is at the heart of who we are as a church.

Welcome to our worship community! We believe that Worship is a special moment where we wholeheartedly connect to God’s grace and love, and leave with a renewed spirit to accomplish His work. Every Sunday at 10:30am, we gather to share an hour filled with prayer, songs, scripture, insightful sermons, and communion (once a month). Our atmosphere is cozy and friendly, created to invite and ease into your time with us. If you’re visiting for the first time and have some questions, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered and would love to help in any way we can.

Where Should I go?

Forest Hills Presbyterian Church is located in Helotes, Texas at 13200 Bandera Rd. Once you get here, drive to the left to the main parking lot. Any of our members will be happy to show you to a Sunday School classroom or the sanctuary (or, of course, the bathroom, because that’s important, too.)

What should I wear?

If you really want to impress the pastor, something with the color of the liturgical season… we’re just kidding. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in–you’ll see some folks in skirts and jackets and some in tees and jeans. On the whole, we probably lean a little more casual, and we absolutely promise not to be all judgey.

What about my kids?

For a small congregation, FHPC is blessed with a large number of kids. Your children are welcome in worship–let them squirm, sing, and dance away! During worship, kids are invited forward for a time of their own on the front stairs. We encourage you to choose whatever is most comfortable for you and your family.

Are the buildings accessible?

Yes! We have several handicapped parking spaces around the church as well as ramps to get you where you need to go. Ask any church member for help getting around.

What is the music like?
FHPC offers a vibrant and diverse music program that celebrates the glory of God. From traditional hymns to contemporary praise songs, our music director and praise band bring their own unique gifts to every worship service. As a congregation, we come together to lift our voices in song and praise. Whether you’re moved by a global refrain or a familiar tune, we aim to create a worship experience that touches your heart and inspires you to praise the Lord. Join us on Sundays to discover the power of music to connect us to God and to each other.
What are the sermons like?

Each week, Pastor Katy preaches for 10-20 minutes, connecting the day’s scripture lessons to the needs of our world.

Will I be called out for being a visitor?

No. Although there may be a lot of people shaking your hand during the passing of the peace, we promise we won’t call you out during the service. If you feel at home with us and want to know more, just talk to our pastor or any of the members–we’d love to share with you what it’s like to be part of our family!

Can I worship online?

Absolutely! You can join our online worshipping community on our YouTube Channel by clicking here.
