Meet Our Staff

Reverend
Katy Walters
Pastor
Rev. Katy Walters is a welcome addition to Forest Hills. Originally from North Texas, she has an impressive education background, having earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Austin College and both her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Practical Theology with a focus in Christian Education from Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta. With over 15 years of experience working with children and youth, Rev. Walters has served several churches across the south and worked with the Girl Scouts of America.
As an Associate Pastor for congregations in New Braunfels and Atlanta, Georgia, Pastor Katy has gained an appreciation for learning something new every day. Her love for all things beginning with the letter “C” such as coffee, Christ, children, churches, conferences, crafts, cards, cats, comedies, and collecting coffee cups has kept her busy. In her free time, she enjoys sitting in the sun and reading good books, watching Disney movies and British baking shows, bowling, singing, and striving to love like Jesus every day.

Deb has been an esteemed friend of our congregation for several years, and we are excited to witness her sharing her exceptional talents in worship and beyond in this new capacity. Her unwavering passion for playing in worship and the experience she has gained from serving in several settings, including the Diakonia Emmaus Community, are impressive.
